Went to take my truck to work today so I could get some lumber after work and get it out for a drive since it no longer does daily duty.
Turn the key, dash lights up, and ...click... nothing else , no cranking, nothing but silence.
Hopefully it’s just the battery because the starter was replaced only 2-3 years ago when I had the transmission out.
Here she is when I brought her home...god these last 5 winters were brutal on her. Thankfully she’s done with daily duty and will become a project vehicle and live in a garage through the foreseeable winters.

Sounds like a battery to me. Yes, definitely a battery.

Could be low on blinker fluid, could be the exhaust bearings are seized... or the battery. Probably the battery.

Bummer
Was the “click” the starter solenoid engaging? Did you try a little percussive maintenance on the starter?

The exhaust bearing are long gone already so it’s not that. I’ll check the blinker fluid though :)

I believe so, and no I didn’t feel like crawling under the truck this morning. It wasn’t that pressing to get lumber

My thoughts exactly, it’s not a major thing, just another that I don’t need

Yeah, battery is a good guess. I’d start there. Charge it, test it...

Same thing happened to my 04 Canyon last month since it is also not the daily. It was the battery. Put it on a charger and its fine.
